How long is an intensive?

Following evidenced based practice, we prefer to hold programs that are 3 weeks in length in order to achieve optimal results. However, based on the needs of families, we are able to do 2 week intensives or pop-up one week intensives. Each day required 2-3 hours of therapy.

What equipment or space will I need at home?

Requirements depend on the intervention plans being utilized. We will use your natural environment as much as possible. For DMI based intensives, we will need adequate space for a treatment table and use of boxes.

Do you take insurance?

We are not in network with any private insurances, Medicaid, or CMOs. After spending years working under insurances, we found that we were not able to truly spend the time and care actually working WITH the clients we serve in the way that we knew would be best. In order to make our programs more affordable, we can provide a superbill for reimbursement upon request and have several grant options and non-profit partnerships available to help with funding for intensives.

What conditions or diagnoses do you help with?

Intensive approaches are suited for children with any kind of neuromotor delay. The intervention plans we use can be started as early as a few weeks old and can be adjusted for older/larger children as well. We often see diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Genetic Conditions, Down Syndrome, Autism, Spina Bifida, CDG, Pediatric Stroke, Developmental Delay, Torticollis, Prader Willi, Prematurity, and more.

Will my child recieve OT and PT?

Our programs are designed to provide an interdisciplinary approach with OT and PT. Both of our clinicians hold the same specialty certifications and can provide the same level of treatment. Co-treating may occur based on factors such as complexity, child's size, and safety. Additional services may also be available.

How far will you travel

We are able to drive to most locations in Northeast Georgia. If you are located outside of our typical commuting range, our community has several non-profits that rally around families seeking intensives and options for housing or connecting you to families that can be added to your program dates, making our commute more accessible.
